This project included schools from SIG 9 and focussed on interventions and learning opportunities for teachers and learners in years 2, 5 & 6. Schools collaborated in creating lesson plans, ac- tivities and events for the project.
With growing demands on young people, families and schools it is be- coming increasingly important for education to deliver a rich menu of learning opportunities and pathways. Developing in young people sophisticated skills and ability in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and building teachers’ capacity, capability and confidence in science, technology and innovation will enable us to successfully adapt and will be essential to meeting 21st century challenges.
This projects aims were to increase awareness of STEM in the classroom while also equipping teachers and learners with new Digital skills and approaches to STEM across the curriculum. The project aims to support teachers to work collaboratively to create and share innovative STEM lesson plans, activities and events to allow for sustainable impact across SIG 9 schools.
Here are some clips from the celebration event where we showcased some of the great work from the project.
